Marriage Crisis

Despite the importance of marriage in many cultures, divorce rates remain high in Cameroon. Premarital and marital counseling can play a crucial role in addressing issues that may contribute to marital discord, such as communication difficulties, financial disagreements, and differing expectations. By providing couples with the tools and knowledge necessary for a successful marriage, marital counseling can help to strengthen relationships and promote stability within families.

In a recent study reveal that 93% of humans ranked having a good marriage amongst life’s most important goals. While individuals may report various reasons for desiring a pleasant and fulfilling union, a happy marriage has been linked to numerous specific benefits, including personal health, increase lifespan financial stability, fulfillment in life just to name a few. On the other hand, marital stress and imbalanced marriages can reportedly incur health risk and can be associated with couples experiencing financial strain and numerous other setbacks.

We are a team psychologist and legal professionals who have been married for 10 years and more focused on the service to humanity. Our overall attitude and approach for this program is that of the ancients and we see are role more like Patiences describing the progress of our treatment to a fellow patience in the hospital bed beside us. We avoid posing like experts on marriage but as those how have learned from their personal experience and the experience of others geared to be of service and help persons navigate the complex world of marriage and relationships.

Our aim is like that of a shepherded who does not expect his sheep to vomit grass to show how much they have eaten but rather digest their food inwardly and produce good meat, wool and milk outwardly. We are not about just offering information through seminars and other forms of teachings but to see families and individuals truly transformed micro and macro.

To achieve the above we uphold the following :

Comprehensive Curriculum: We propose a structured curriculum covering essential topics such as Communication skills, Conflict resolution, financial planning, Relationship expectations, Family planning, Intimacy and sexuality, Role and duties, Crisis management, Partner knowledge, Beliefs and values, marital expectation, medical screening, male and female psychology etc. 

Counselor Qualifications:   We are a team of Counselors, lawyers and Psychologist to cover all the facets of the family socially, legally and psychologically. Particularly our counselors are required to have a minimum of a master’s degree in counseling or a related field, with specialized training in premarital and marital counseling and relationship dynamics. They must also have been married for at least 10years.

Counseling Sessions: Couples will attend a series of counseling sessions, typically over a period of several weeks conducted by qualified professionals depending on the factors surrounding their relationship.

Group Counseling: In addition to individual counseling, group counseling sessions may be offered to provide couples with the opportunity to learn from and support one another.

Online Counseling: To increase accessibility, online counseling options may be considered, such as video conferencing or online resources. We will also have a program wherein we invite couples who have been married for long for frank talking.

Workshops and seminars: Provide group workshops and seminars on various topics related to marriage.

Accessible Location: Provide counseling sessions at convenient locations within the city, including community centers churches and private practices. We will also offer private practice

Flexible Scheduling: We offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate the busy lifestyles of couples. Locations: Counseling services will be offered at various locations throughout the city, including community centers, religious institutions, and private counseling practices.

Partnerships: Partnerships will be formed with local organizations, such as cooperate bodies hospitals, schools, and religious institutions, social welfare to promote premarital and marital counseling services and increase accessibility.

Outreach Efforts: Outreach efforts will be conducted to raise awareness of premarital and counseling services and encourage couples to participate.
